授業の概要Course Overview
This course will provide guidance for students who choose to undertake the difficult challenge of preparing a graduation thesis written in English.
Students choosing to submit an English graduation thesis will first select an appropriate topic for individual study, and then plan, research, and write a paper of 5,000 words for submission in December 2026 (draft) and January 2027 (final paper).
Advice will be provided on topic and text choice, research methods and resources, planning and organisation, style, and the use of quotations and citations. Advice on avoiding plagiarism and guidelines on the use of AI will also be included.

Students will be required to give regular and timely progress reports and presentations on the content of their research.

Homework will consist of independent research and writing of the thesis, as well as preparation for presentations.

Oral feedback will be given on research presentations, and written feedback will be given on drafts of the thesis as it progresses.
