This class will primarily improve students’ reading and listening skills in order to acquire the ability to think, judge, express themselves in a wide range of fields, to provide a foundation for learning and research.
学びや研究の基盤となる思考力・判断力・表現力等を獲得し、幅広い領域に活用できるよう、この授業では、英語の「読む・聞く」の2技能を取り入れた授業を英語で展開する（文法を含む）。

授業の概要Course Overview

Explicit instruction in and practice of listening and reading skills, including pronunciation, as well as some speaking and writing, will develop language proficiency. Activities to build academic skills, such as visual literacy, critical thinking and discussion, are also integrated with each textbook unit helped by meaningful and authentic photographs and videos. The teacher conducts classes in English.

Two types of homework:

1) Preview Online exercises before class
2) Online comprehension and discussion exercises after each class.

In order to gain weekly homework credit, each week the homework posted on Moodle must be finished BEFORE the next class.

Moodle に投稿された宿題を読むことが次のレッスンの準備となります。毎週単位を取得するには、次の授業までに宿題を終わらせなければなりません。

課題に対するフィードバックの方法Feedback Method

Individual Student Feedback will be given online using Google Forms and General Class Feedback given using Google Documents and verbally in class. 生徒の個別のフィードバックは Google フォームを使用してオンラインで行われ、クラス全体のフィードバックは Google ドキュメントを使用して授業中に口頭で伝えられます。

成績評価の方法 / Evaluation Method

Class participation / on time / with textbook = 20%
Weekly Homework (must be finished each week to gain points) = 40%
Mid-Semester Test 中間テスト= 20%
Final Test 期末テスト= 20%

Class participation (20% of the Final Grade) will include Online Google Documents.
During the lesson, students will be asked to use their smartphones to post responses to questions and discussions.

Students absent (欠席) WITHOUT an excused absent (欠席届) cannot receive an S grade.
毎週の宿題の単位を取得するには、毎週、次の授業までに宿題を完了する必要があります。
