The test is a Mock Negotiation and Group Presentation. The test consists of a case study where students prepare a market entry of a non-existing (mock) Japanese company in a EU country, focusing on the legal and business aspects. The total amount of points to be gained are 100.

- Analyze global expansion using strategic frameworks like the Uppsala Model and PESTEL to understand how and why companies grow from local to international players.
- Select optimal market entry strategies (e.g., Export vs. Joint Venture) by assessing the Cultural, Administrative, Geographic, and Economic (CAGE) distance between Japan and target markets,.
- Communicate effectively across cultures by distinguishing between High-Context (implicit) and Low-Context (explicit) styles to negotiate successfully with Western partners,.
- Manage business relationships by balancing the enforcement of written contracts with trust-building strategies (The Trust Equation) to maintain long-term cooperation.
- Navigate dispute resolution by understanding legal remedies (such as arbitration and breach of contract) alongside culturally appropriate conflict management,.
- Apply integrated skills in a real-world simulation to negotiate a contract and present a coherent strategy for entering the EU market.
