This course focuses on developing communication skills in English through carefully guided activities emphasizing the skills of reading and listening. Students will also be encouraged to discuss issues from the textbook in groups, think critically and offer support for their opinions. The main goal of the course is to enable students to advance to higher levels of communicative competence.

授業の概要Course Overview

Explicit instruction in and practice of reading and listening skills will develop language proficiency. Activities to build academic skills, such as critical thinking and discussion, are integrated with each unit.

Each week students will need to complete the homework posted online on Moodle as preparation for the next lesson.
In order to gain credit for homework each week the homework must be finished before the next class.
