授業の概要Course Overview

1. Global Liberal Arts (GLA) courses are designed as "Joint Study Course" where Japanese students and
international students learn together. Students will explore the "unique characteristics of Japan – including
psychological distinctive features, strengths, weaknesses" as well as "global contexts and trends" across various Psychological fields.
Through the perspective of "Japan in the global context," students will recognize the differences between
Japan and the world and collaboratively envision a better future for the world.
2. In addition to theoretical instruction through lectures, GLA courses emphasize collaboration between
Japanese and international students through activities such as group work and discussions. The primary
language of instruction will be English.
3. This class will be conducted by ten instructors. Each instructor will have their major topics (Counseling, Social behavior, Cognition, etc.) at each class.
4. Each instructor will offer not only knowledge but various experience to understand topics.

1. Course Schedule
GLA courses are conducted in accordance with the academic calendar for the international student program“International Division”, and therefore follow a schedule that partially differs from the regular undergraduate academic calendar.

Tuesday, September 16, 2025 to Wednesday, December 24, 2025
2. Language Proficiency
Since the primary language of instruction for GLA courses is English and GLA courses are designed as joint classes for international and Japanese students, the following language proficiency levels are recommended. However, students are still welcome to enroll even if they do not meet these levels. We encourage students to take this opportunity to develop their skills and gain valuable international experience!
Recommended Language Proficiency Levels:
- Eiken Pre-1 or higher
- TOEIC 600 or higher
- TOEFL ITP 480 or higher
- TOEFL iBT 54 or higher
- IELTS 5.0 or higher
