授業の概要Method of Instruction

In this class, students will continue to improve their reading skills, listening skills, writing skills, and speaking skills while prioritizing the receptive skills of reading and listening. The class will further develop communication skills in English through carefully guided activities emphasizing the skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Using authentic and relevant content, including video, charts, and other informative graphics, students will again be encouraged to work effectively and confidently on improving their English language communication skills. The main goal of the class is to enable students to advance to higher levels of communicative competence. The teacher conducts the class in English.

Students who are late or absent for no good reason will have points deducted from their participation score. Students who miss more than 1/3 of the lessons might fail the course because the teacher will not be able to evaluate their homework and efforts in class.

履修上の注意Other Course Information

Students must take the TOEIC IP Test, this will be required during the middle of the semester and used in the class evaluation. Students who have not taken the test will be reduced one level「TOEIC IPテストのスコアを授業評価に反映する。評価方法については、入学時に配布されたプリントを参照すること。なお、非受験者は講義評価から1段階下がる点に留意。」
