授業の概要Method of Instruction

The class will be focused on speaking and listening. After an introduction to each lesson, students will work in pairs or groups, practicing their conversational skills and mastering the targeted patterns. This class will cover everything that leads to stronger speaking and listening, from pronunciation and fluency to mastery of grammatical patterns to understanding of English-speaking cultures, and may include some memorization and reciting of short English texts.

The purpose of the class is to increase fluency and understanding of spoken English. Students will identify their individual strengths and weaknesses in pronunciation and grammar, and learn how to most effectively improve their spoken English. Class time will be divided into several shorter activities, including lecture, small-group dialogue, presentations, one-on-one interviews, language games, and analysis of students' pronunciation, but a majority of the class will be spent in small-group conversation.
