This class will strengthen students' learning and research skills in a wide range of fields, by focusing on improving students’ speaking and writing ability (including grammar comprehension) and encouraging students to think, judge, and express their own ideas.
学びや研究の基盤となる思考力・判断力・表現力等を獲得し、幅広い領域に活用できるよう、この授業では、英語の「話す・書く」の2技能を取り入れた授業を英語で展開する(文法を含む)。

授業の概要Method of Instruction

Each Unit introduces an opinion using structured Reading and Listening exercises followed by pair and group Speaking and Writing exercises to develop language proficiency using a four skills approach to build proficiency in an interesting and fun way. The teacher conducts classes in English.

Each week students will need to complete the homework posted online on Moodle as preparation for the next lesson.
In order to gain credit each week the homework must therefore be finished before the next class.

Listening and Reading homework in preparation for the next class will be posted online on Moodle.
In order to gain credit EACH WEEK the homework must therefore be FINISHED BEFORE THE NEXT CLASS.

Attendance/ on time / with textbook = 20%
Class participation = 20%
Weekly Homework (must be finished each week to gain points) = 40%
Final Assessment = 20%

Note: Class participation (20%) will include the teacher using live, shared class online Google Documents and
Forms during class for students to post brief responses to questions and discussions.
