授業の概要Method of Instruction

Note: Provided only as a General Education subject taught as a university-wide Common Subject.
Lectures will be carried out according to the class content for each session, utilizing videos, handouts, and the textbook. Students will be required to write comments and questions on the backs of their attendance cards and submit them at the end of each lecture. A mid-term reflection will be given to measure students' progress at the halfway point, in Session 8.

事前・事後学習、時間等Study Required outside Class(Preparation, etc.)

This subject is comprised of lectures. Two classes' worth of independent study is required per session. Students are required to do the following for each session:
1. Prior to each session, read through the sections of the textbook and reference books that are relevant to the upcoming class and grasp the general overview of the content (50% of the study time required outside of class).
2. After each session, review the handouts that were used in the lecture (50% of the study time required outside of class).

課題の種類・内容Homework, Assignments, etc.

After each lecture, students are required to submit the mini-report forms distributed in class, on which they must write comments on a theme related to the session content. The mid-term reflection consists of both multiple-choice questions and essay questions. The final exam is composed of 50% essay questions and 50% of multiple-choice questions.

Theme-related comments submitted after each lecture will be introduced at the beginning of the subsequent lecture. Questions regarding the mid-term reflection or the final exam will be accepted and answered via Moodle.
