授業の概要Method of Instruction
この授業では、指導と演習を通して次の５つのライティング力を身につける。
①一般的なレトリックパターンを理解し、英作文の作成に役立てる。
②文章・エッセイを適切なフォーマットで作成する。
③文章・エッセイを校正し、改訂する。
④ライティングおいて論理的な展開ができるようになる。
⑤様々な情報を集め、文章の裏付け（サポート）を行う。
受講者は、グループ及び各自で文章・エッセイを書き、その構成や内容を分析して発表することが求められる。
事前・事後学習、時間等Study Required outside Class(Preparation, etc.)
Two classes’ worth of independent study is required for each session. Students are required to do the following tasks for each session:
・Prior to each session, preview textbook content, vocabulary, and writing skills to be studied (20% of the study time required outside of class).
・After each session, review class content, including vocabulary and writing skills studied; revise written homework from previous weeks; and complete essay-writing assignments (80% of the study time required outside of class).
